Salix Limited (NZBN 9429053674067) — “Salix”, “we”, “us” — operates this website, salixtech.co.nz. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the site, how we use it, and the rights you have under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

It covers this marketing website only. Our products — including Learna (learna.co.nz) and our Storedash shop-admin app (privacy policy) — are governed by their own privacy terms, because they handle different information, such as data drawn from Google Classroom. If you are a school or educator asking about student data, that is covered by Learna's own policy, not this one.

When you send an enquiry through the form on this site, we collect:

• your name and email address;
• the type of project you select; and
• anything you write in the message field.

As you browse, we keep a small amount of non-identifying analytics:

• the page path you visited;
• the domain of the site that referred you (not the full web address); and
• any campaign tags (UTM parameters) in the link you followed.

Our analytics does not store your IP address, we set no advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build a profile of you.

We use your enquiry to reply to you and discuss a possible project. We use the anonymous analytics, in aggregate, to understand which pages and referral sources are useful so we can improve the site. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run the site:

• Resend — delivers enquiry-form submissions to our inbox as email;
• Supabase — hosts the database that stores the non-identifying analytics above; and
• our website hosting provider — serves the site.

These providers process data on our instructions. Some may store data outside New Zealand; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as we need it to respond and, if we work together, for the life of the engagement plus a reasonable period for our records. Analytics data is non-identifying and kept in aggregate. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email info@salixtech.co.nz and we will respond within 20 working days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).

We use reputable providers and reasonable technical measures to protect your information. No online service can promise perfect security, but we treat what you send us with care.

We may update this policy as the site or our practices change. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
