Vakkas founded Salix and does the work: the scoping call, the architecture, the code, the handover session, and the phone call two years later when something needs changing. Across the eight projects on this site that means web applications, embedded and device software, and AI integrations built into products people actually use rather than demonstrations of the technology.
The practical version: there is no account manager, no offshore team, and nobody who will be reassigned after the contract is signed. What you see on the first call is what you get for the whole engagement, and what happens after it is written down rather than implied.

Why a
willow.
Salix is the botanical genus of the willow: a tree that bends without breaking, roots easily in poor ground, and spreads by quiet, deliberate growth rather than by force. It is also the tree that gave us salicylic acid, and therefore aspirin, which is a fair description of useful software: unglamorous, widely relied on, and noticed mainly when it is missing.
The herbarium plates, the section marks and the specimen numbering across this site come from the same idea. They are a way of saying that the work is catalogued and looked after, which is a claim the operations page then has to actually back up.

Both columns are honest. The right-hand one has cost us work, and saying it earlier would have cost less.
