Delete your data

What this page covers

Foundation Console is a staff app published by Salix Limited (NZBN 9429053674067) on Google Play as com.salix.foundationconsole. This page explains how to have your account and data removed.

How to request deletion

Either of these works, and you do not need to do both:

  • In the app: open Settings and tap Request account removal. That opens an email addressed to us with the right subject line; send it and we will action it.
  • By email: write to info@salixtech.co.nz with the subject “Foundation Console deletion request”, from the address you sign in with, and tell us which organisation you work for.

You can also clear everything the app has stored on your phone at any time, without asking us: sign out from Settings, or uninstall the app.

What gets deleted

  • Your staff account: your name, the email address you sign in with, and your stored password, removed from the organisation's system. You will no longer be able to sign in.
  • Your sign-in sessions: every device signed in as you is signed out and its stored token destroyed.
  • Your notification token: the identifier used to send alerts to your phone, so no further alerts are sent.
  • Everything held on your device: your email address, the saved session, and the cached records the app displayed. Signing out or uninstalling removes these immediately.

What is kept, and why

The app displays records that belong to the charity you work for: donations, supporters, enquiries, event attendees. Those are the charity's records, not yours, and deleting your staff account does not remove them. Charities are also required to retain donation records for financial and charitable reporting.

If your request concerns one of those records (for example a donation you made, or an event you attended) it should go to the charity that holds it, because it is responsible for that data. Write to us anyway if you are not sure which contact you need and we will point you to the right one.

How long it takes

We respond within 20 working days, as the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 requires, and normally much sooner. Data on your own device is gone the moment you sign out or uninstall, and that does not wait on us.

There is no additional retention period for a deleted staff account: it is removed when we action the request, not held for a further window.
